Midnight crawl – boiler makers. This cafe was my second dorm room until 2006! Best bunch of of baristas/ staff all day all hours. We relied on Vienna to be there during out all-nightwr final exam cram sessions 🙂 Unfortunately that is no more. We were O so rudely refused service … And why? Cause it was (Omgosh) past midnight and their precious registers were closed. So a machine wins over your choice to serve a customer??? September 18th 2014 12:04 am!!! I drove from southwest VA for a reunion with my boilermaker crew. All to be ruined by some C-average liberal art punk wanna be actor :p Vienna owners … Please don’t let your cafe be managed by freshmen drop outs who know nothing about customer service. I will return another time … Hopefully to an inviting cup of coffee and a better staff. 🙂 peace !

Great study Spot. I love Vienna because its a great place to study, people meet here and they have good talks. The atmosphere is real chill and its a good place to call your own, you’re always welcome. They’re open late and sometimes have live music. I personally like any white chocolate beverage, the chai AND the lattes.
Please leave Chauncey and let Greyhouse to expand. If you want slow service for subpar drinks or food, this is the place for you! For being located in Chauncey Square with tons of competition, including a much better coffee place two doors down (Greyhouse), I don’t understand how Vienna is still in business. The baristas that work here move at snail speeds when they acknowledge you’re even there. Half the time they just talk to their hipster friends instead of helping customers. And god forbid you come at any time of the day when they sun is visible, because their windows bake customers inside and make it necessary to wear glasses. I wish Greyhouse wasn’t so busy on the weekends so I wouldn’t have to come to this hellhole.
Bad Service. We were also told by the girl who took our order that our food would be brought out to us and it was not. I don’t mind going up to the counter to get my food, but I shouldn’t be told by someone that they would bring it out to me when they have no intention of doing so.09 Nov, 2011Disgusting Food, Horrible Service. I ordered food for the first time here today and never will again. I even went next door to get the coffee I was planning to buy there. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, but I think it might have been tuna salad- either way- it was disgusting. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich and when he got it found out it had mayo on it and it had not been advertised on the menu as such. He does not like mayo and was upset that it wasn’t on the menu that it would come with mayo. The women’s restroom was also very dirty.
Great place to grab hot drinks. Vienna has a long history of being the place to grab a hot beverage if you are by Chauncey Hill. Their hot chocolate and chai’s and, come to think of it, their hot cider in the fall, tops all of the other places in that area. But especially their hot chocolate — tasty!! Great atmosphere, can get really crowded at times, but if you can snag a table, go for it. If not, get your drink to go and sit outside (if the Indiana weather permits).
