Ate here for the first time today and enjoyed it. The food was good. The waitstaff was great. The tenderloin was good, but the breading gets soggy for the house sauce. The tots are pretty good.
To be honest I was vastly underwhelmed by The Local, especially since I’d heard so many wonderful things about it from my friends. The lamb gyro tasted nothing like a gyro and was frankly so greasy that it felt like I was eating shaved butter, and my friend’s fancy salad was barely enough for a very light meal. The chocolate torte was good, but again, underwhelming, especially since the server reccomended it so highly – just your generic, dense, overly sweet chocolate cake that I could get at any restaurant. I don’t think I’ll go back, because it was overpriced for such a lackluster experience.
