Love it!. Serenity has a wonderful location…sitting inside or out provides a charming atmosphere. I’ve always had great food, service and tea. If ever they were a bit slow in bringing our food, the server was up front about it and did her best to attend to us. This is a great location to plan tea parties for the young or the older!
Although the food is very good, the kitchen and staff are very slow. Though we ordered drinks and lunch all at once, we waited 45 minutes for our lunch to come out. My quiche came out lukewarm at best. Drinks were not refilled quickly without asking. Twice in one week I have had a similar experience. This use to be my favorite lunch spot. I hope they can fix it.
Give Serenity another try!?. I love to go to Serenity for lunch with my daughter – we try a new tea each time, have lunch and order the delicious carrot cake – by far the best offering for dessert!! I always make a point of telling the waitress that we have limited time for lunch and please bring the check with the dessert – otherwise I know you can have a long wait for all courses to be served. However, if I had more time – I would happily sit and sip tea all day too!!We have also enjoyed their Etiquette Teas – very informal – but yet most educational.Return for tea and carrot cake!!
Where’s the Serenity?. Went with my wife, sister in law and mother in law for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Sat outside in the courtyard, which was nice. Food was just ok and somewhat expensive. No license, so no beer or wine on a hot day. Owner was really obnoxious and loud. All through our lunch, she kept talking (almost yelling) to people about 3 feet from our table about some personal problem she had. Really annoying. All in all a lot of hype with no real value. Won’t return.
Wonderful. The restaurant is in charming Zionsville in an old house. It was absolutely delightful. The food was wonderful, and the service quick and friendly, The owner came over and spoke with us briefly and was enthusiastic and warm. Definitely would go again, and highly recommend it,.
No Serenity for Us. The venue is charming and the food is creative and well prepared. For a tea house, however, I expected my tea to be served in a pot instead of the coffee mug I received – with no refills offered. I had to hunt the server down multiple times to clear the dishes, to order dessert and then to get the check. The worst offense was the owner of this establishment. Her cell phone kept ringing loudly and she answered it, talking so loudly in the small dining area that we all became part of her tirades about her personal business and it was impossible to hold private conversations. It is a shame, because there is great potential with sucha delightful location and food offerings.
Wosrt service and meal ever
