Been there twice, most recently for a friend’s birthday and everyone has enjoyed the food. Ingredients are fresh and dishes are well made. Our favorites so far are the Tung Tong appetizer and the Pad See Ew. If prices were just a bit less, we’d make this a regular, but until then the Spice is just for special occasions.

A surprisingly good Thai restaurant in Ames. Most of the dishes are tasty and generously portioned. Sometimes there is some inconsistency in how things are prepared. I’ve noticed the tom yum soup can be delicious or nearly inedible which is a shame as I normally love this stuff. Most of the entrees don’t suffer this problem. Sometimes a bit on the oily side but overall well above average. One of the better options in Ames and easily he best Asian food you’ll find in this town.
