This place is definitely a unique and delicious option in Ames! The fish and chips are definitely British Isles quality and the draft beers/ciders include a variety of the best from across the pond–a rare treat!

Yummy UK fun!. Food is comfort food from the UK. Not a fancy place but comfortable and charming. Its like eating at your mum’s.

One of our favorite cozy spots for beer and lunch or supper. Best cod ever! Great breakfasts now also on sat and sun! The owner and waitstaff take interest to know you over time and we like that!

Nice new place!. Over the summer of 2013 the Chip Shop has expanded into a real pub – The Mucky Duck. Many british beers and Stone Double Bastard on tap! Better seating and better atmosphere now. Giant fish and chips. May want to go midweek to avoid Friday nights as its pretty crowded.
