Wonderful — on so many levels. My daughter has been Vegan for about 4 months. To find a place we both like to eat is getting harder. I was able to get a great pizza that I loved. My daugher was also very pleased not only with her pizza, but that she was able to get vegan pizza and more so – cheese that she could eat. The appetizers were also wonder. We have been to Italy and this pizza was a great reminder of out amazing trip. Next time I will safe room for dessert. Thank you also the friendly staff.

Real Italian style pizza.. The food here is AMAZING! I’m not sure why people are saying they don’t like Vesuvius, unless they are expecting Pizza Hut or Dominoes style pizza. This is NOT that! This is really good, authentic, Italian style pizza with high quality ingredients. I have eaten pizza in Rome, and this is the closest I’ve found to that experience anywhere in the United States. I live in Ames, and I try to go to Vesuvius as often as I get a chance. It’s one of my personal favorites. And I’ve never experienced any of the rudeness or uncleanliness other people have mentioned either.

Love it. My husband and I loved the pizza. We had wood-fired pizza for the first time in Denver, CO. and this is a match if not better. I do think that they need to clean up the dining area.

Pretty much no service, not clean, takes forever to get tables clean, crowd not managed at all, fend for yourself on weekends. Food average, not worth the mess.

I have never been treated quite so Ruddly by the employee of a business. We will never be back no matter how good the food is.

Bikinis are sexy…. But scantily clad pizzas are a real turn-off. The concept is great and not unlike many other wood-fired pizza places I’ve enjoyed. Their pizza is decent but it’s really just crust and a (very) few scattered toppings. I say raise the prices by a buck-fifty but double the toppings. They could also work on the acoustics of the place: it’s very noisy due to the minimalist interior and metal chair feet grating on concrete. 3 out of 5.

Pizza was not AWFUL, but was NOT good. One size pizza, overpriced, uncomfottable setting. Left hungry and went to Hickory Park… Which was absolutely great!
