Satisfying, but not always the first choice.. If you’re looking for a good place to get American, this is a fairly good option for Ames. Prices are moderate-high considering the portions but the service is usually good. Food is always satisfying. It’s a good restaurant, just not a first choice when re-visiting Ames.

Boneless (spineless) hawkeye flappers are the best. Good atmosphere and lots of ISU and Big 12 stuff on the walls.
