Be afraid!. My wife and I have eaten our fair share of Chinese food. We ordered from here shortly after we moved back to Iowa. This was without a doubt the worst Chinese that we’ve ever had. We will not be returning here. Ugh!
Great stop off the bike trail!. I found this restaurant today while on a bike ride up towards Ankeny. It didn’t look like it would be much from the outside appearance (in a boring strip mall), but stepping inside shows a rather classy place. The tables were nice, and the napkins were all folded in to a shape as if it was a place at Epcot. Very nice decorations, too.There is a full list of specialty drinks like Mai Tais and such, and they are served in unique cups (tiki bar style, I suppose). Unlike most similar restaurants near where I live, this place had a huge selection of meals and soups. (The fancy drinks are less than a beer at most places.)This is definitely worth stopping in if you are out on a ride (or just driving, I suppose). It’s a nice surprise and everyone there was very nice and helpful. I look forward to returning.
Getting worst by day. I being eating here since last 10 yrs .. before it was one the best if not the best chinese restaurant in des moines . but last few trip was disappointing may be chef changed or something else . food is not same might not come back have to find new chinese food joint .. in des moines area
Pretty Good!. Pretty good american-chinese food. The lunch special is a great deal. Soup, eggroll, chicken wing and entree for $6.50. The food is pretty good. Not too greasy so it was easy to get back to work afterwards.The thing that amazed me the most was the service. I went in expecting to take an hour lunch. It took me 25 minutes total. The food was fresh and came out in like 10 minutes!

Just right – food and waiter. Their food is the best and most consistently prepared Chinese food I’ve ever had. They use the best ingredients, and their service and waitpeople are great! Their eggrolls have no pork in them – just beef and vegetables, and their hot & sour soup also has no pork – great for those avoiding pork. Their sauces are varied, their menu has over 100 choices, and their drinks are reasonably price, varied and tasty. Daniel makes this place like a home, and most of their customers are regulars.
