New ownership, higher prices, uh-oh. Today my husband and I went to eat dinner at one of our favorite places, Pho 85. I was surprised to see the place empty when we walked in. The new owners are not Vietnamese and it shows even more in their attempt to cook the Vietnamese menu. The pho was greasy, the meat in it was frozen, the #8 had no tendon in it which is listed on the menu and the tripe had an unclean smell. the peanut sauce was ice cold, the spring roll wraps were still partially crunchy and even the fish sauce for the egg roll was made wrong. The only part of our now higher priced at $30 dinner that we enjoyed was the egg roll. I can confidently say we will not return under this ownership.
