Walked in to a clean nice looking lobby, immediately seated!Waitress was prompt and friendly!She had tasted the specials and had other recommendations too!Creole gumbo is not for the weak, it’s good and spicy!Fresh hot bread, cup never got empty!Seafood special, scallops were tender and great! Shrimp was blackened and a little over cooked, lobster tail was great too!
As fresh as you’ll get in Des Moines. Sushi is also tasty. Service is good. Been there a few times, never had a bad meal. A good place to bring out of town guests, more than just bacon in the mid-west.
Great seafood and sushi. Ate there over the weekend while visiting from Omaha. Very fresh seafood, great portions. The sushi is wonderful! I wasn’t crazy about the calamari because it was big strips instead of small, but it was very tender. Had the halibut royale, and my husband had the walleye. Both were very tasty, and not overcooked! Definitely recommend this for some great seafood, and that’s really saying something for the Midwest.
