After the Flood of 2008, I try to support the local eateries downtown, hence Austin Blues BBQ. Due to its proximity to my place of work, I have gone there a few times and have never really been disappointed. The restaurant is located in a food court with other dining establishments available. However, a refill of soda is $0.50 and the cost of food is relatively high for what you get. The order described above included a small cup of soup and an average sized sandwhich for $5.99. A small soda was an addition $1.00 and with tax it adds up to $7.49. Not exactly a cheap meal for the portion size.Its proximity means the higher cost can sometimes be ignored. The BBQ is okay and not anything really to shout about. Overall, I’m disappointed with the portion size and the price. Rating: 6.5/10 (lunch)A Second Serving?: Yes. Proximity to work.
