Second best. I prefer Coffeesmiths, but these guys are pretty good too. I really like the decor and the grilled cheese is to die for.

OK Food -Good Atmosphere. I really like the cozy coffee shop atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The food was OK, on par with Mr. Beans down the street but slightly greasier. Prices were good though.
Quaint. I stop in here quite a bit for coffee or to grab a bite to eat. The coffee is great and they also offer really good smoothies. They offer soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries and desserts. Everything I’ve tried thus far has been very good. It’s a quaint little place and I will continue to come here.
Coffee, food, seats. I can’t say I am over impressed with the Blue Strawberry, they offer what you would expect from a coffee house which has stressed the food over the coffee. Panini, salads, scones and soups are in abundance.If you want coffee, what they have is passable, if you want espresso, you’re better off going elsewhere, if you want cream and syrup in a coffee cup (with a touch of coffee) The Blue Strawberry has you covered in spades.Don’t think of it as a coffee house so much as your typical lunch place which happens to serve coffee.
I go here every time I come to town, I love the food and their brews are outstanding!

I would disagree with others who state that the food is unforgettable as you can’t find it anywhere else. Take a look at the menu and you’ll see that it looks familiar. Paninis, chicken salad, soup, etc… Also, I don’t go out to a coffee shop to be noticed, but to each his own. If I wanted to be noticed, I’d rip my shirt off and run through the streets.The interior is okay. I’m not sure that I would call this an upscale coffee shop. Classic photos adorn the walls and there really isn’t much to look at. The coffee is good and the food decent. I wasn’t overly impressed with the panini. But, I go to coffee shops for just that, coffee. The prices are in line and not expensive and the location is convenient.Located in downtown Cedar Rapids, it is great for those who work there. I wouldn’t go out of my way to travel here. I think they are good at what they do, but if you were to travel elsewhere you’d see that this isn’t a gem, but an average joint.Overall: 5/10
