Nothing but very positive reviews to say of this place a very short distance from 380 if you are on the road to stop for lunch or grab a coffee to take a break I had the loaded baked potato soup and a half sandwich the service was fast and knowledgeable
Loaded Baked Potato Soup. I had this without the bacon, to reduce the salt content. Although kind of salty, it is a smooth, balanced soup. The taste of fresh scallions and broccoli are distinctive and add considerable depth. The grated cheese was a bit stringy, but that’s why you have the option of chips, baguette or cheese scone. This is a great lunchtime soup! Not too heavy, so it’ll leave you just empty enough to stay awake 😉
Best Coffee in town!!. Brewed Awakenings is an oasis in the middle of downtown. It is the kind of place where you can stop with a friend for a great lunch, an excellent cup of coffee or tea and a pastry and just let the world go by for a while!! My favorite coffee is the beatnik cappuccino–the barrista’s make it perfectly every time with wonderful crema art on top!!
Relaxing atmosphere, wonderful coffees!!! I live out of state and I crave this place all the time!!!
I love Brewed Awakenings! Best coffee in Cedar Rapids. The atmosphere is great and the barristas know what they’re doing. Compared to Starbucks or the Blue Strawberry, Brewed Awakenings kicks some major ass. Snickers Mochas are my favorite.
