I booked a dinner for a wedding party, months in advance. I had been in contact with Dublin’s two days prior and they were not set up or ready when we arrived. We had to wait for the catering manager to come down and then they had to remove people who were eating in the room we had reserved and set it up. I would not recommend this place at all. The food was ok but the service was lacking. They offered a lame excuse that they had been closed and just reopened and were very sorry. Did not make a big impression on the wedding party and their parents. Sorry I tried them out never again.

Still waiting, service lacking. A group of 4 of us went to Dublin City Pub on a Friday evening before heading over to a concert at the Paramount. We arrived at 6pm, and picked out the only table that was available, a table which was vacant for at least 5 minutes and had yet to be cleaned. We were given menus, and many of the items appeared to be very interesting. We placed our order at about 6:15 and proceeded to chat while waiting for our food. About 25 minutes passed and we had not yet been served our meals. As the waitress passed by, we inquired as to when we could expect our meals. She said that it was quite busy and that we should be eating in about 10 minutes. That would have been at approximately 6:50, which would give us time to eat, though hurriedly, and still take the short walk to the Paramount, which is right around the corner.Unfortunately, we did not receive our food at 7:05, a 50 minute wait. Sadly we had to leave. We left money on the table to pay for our drinks, having not seen our server, who was quite busy, for some time. There was no manager evident throughout our time there. We were very disappointed in the service. On a Friday night there should have been more staff on duty, both on the floor and in the kitchen.
Great place. I’ve been here several times over the past 3 months for after work gatherings with customers. Very wide range of food for a bar. Pizza’s are great. Fresh ingredients and lots of toppings. I’ve also had the Irishman (Reuben). Tasty and toasted well…not soggy. Beer selection is good. All visits I had good service too. I highly recommend this place for a casual after work gathering spot.
I had the ‘Irishman’ sandwich (reuban) and it was delicious. The bread was toasted and not soggy at all. Ordered waffle fries with it and they were hot and crispy as well. The decor and Irish music combined with the tasty food and goid service made for a pleasant dining experience.
Good menu, good food, good beer, good atmosphere, good service…need i say more?
Great Lunch Menu. I used to eat at the old Grafton St Pub before the flood ALL THE TIME. I think I gained about 20 lbs from having lunch there so often. I tried literally everything on the menu. And I can say I liked it all. They have the same menu at Dublin City (same owner). So I for sure recommend having lunch there for a sandwich, salad, or soup.
