This place has great chips and salsa, my margarita was super tasty (not the syrupy nasty pre made stuff) and my meal was excellent. The service was great even though the place was packed. This is a great local restaurant.
Watch your credit card!. Don’t get me wrong Los Compadres has good Mexican food and after living in New Mexico I have a taste for really good Mexican food. However, unfortunately I left the restaurant without my credit card and went back within twenty minutes and they said they didn’t have it. I had made a comment to the waiter that I wish he hadn’t picked up a dirty table cleaning towel from the next table when he also was taking my tea glass back for a refill. I truly think he palmed my credit card or simply threw it in the trash. The last charge on it was to the restaurant and no illegal charges were made on it but the incident ruined the place for me. Patron beware!

Servicable. I went there the first time tonight and had a good meal. The restaurant is in a building that use to house a God Father’s Pizza since the 70’s. They’ve done a nice job inside. Dining room with plenty of seating, plus a decent sized bar area.Menu seems like pretty standard fare. I has the Pollo Monterrey and it was good. I’m not sure I cared for having fries served with the dish, but I just left them on my plate. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Overall it was a good experience on par with most other Mexican restaurants in the area, like the nearby Cancun II.I’ll go back.
