Fantastic atmosphere! Converted an old bank into a restaurant. I had the blacken salmon with veggies and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. Our server was phenomenal; recommending different beers and beverages. The Newbo mule was pretty good (similar to a Moscow mule).
Severly Disappointed. I’ve been to this place three times, and other than the fantastic bottled beer selection, I can’t figure out the hype. I’ve had a sandwich, tacos, and a french dip – all terrible. First mistake was ordering tacos in an alehouse, however, the chicken sandwich I ordered was the most flavorless sandwich I’ve ever had. The chicken was not seasoned at all, so if you’re fine with un-seasoned chicken, this is the place to be.I think they expected the dallop of ranch to suffice as seasoning. I ordered a french-dip a few weeks ago and the meat was ground beef molded into the shape of the hoagie bun it was on. That wasn’t the worst part, I can deal with aesthetics being off and maybe not the right meat, but when the meat tastes like soapy dish water and Pine-Sol I start to wonder what’s going on. – Which was the case.All-in-all I do NOT recommend this place for food – bottled beer on the other hand…sure.
Eh. Undecided.. My friend and I stopped here yesterday afternoon for a beer and a snack. It was our first time there and I’m really undecided a to whether I will be back or not. Atmosphere and patio is awesome. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful. My friend and I each ordered a beer, a side salad, an then an order of pesto mascarpone wontons to share. The waitress asked if we’d like the salads first and we said yes. About 20 minutes later, she brought all of the food out together. She apologized and asked if we wanted to send the wontons back but we said no. Then, about 2 minutes later, she brought us the bill as if she was trying to get us out of there although we were far from ready to go. By the time we tried the wontons, they were cold. Good but cold. They were stuffed with delicious filling. We asked her to have them thrown in just to warm them but she said she’d have a fresh batch made. At that time, we ordered another round of drinks. It took about 10 minutes to get them. When we got the fresh wontons, they looked completely different than the first ones. Totally different shape. No big deal until we cut into them and there was literally a smear of pesto and that was it. No mascarpone oozing out like the first batch. I said something to the waitress and she offered to take them off but then, they were removed from my bill but not my friend’s bill. The entire time we were sitting there, every so often an employee came out, running condiments and stuff to people, but he never seemed to know where he was going. The whole experience was very strange and mixed up. It seemed as though there were plenty of employees standing around when I used the restroom, which had 1 broken stall and another without toilet paper. It really seems like a decision needs to be made. Is this an upscale establishment or your run-of-the-mill eatery? If it’s going to upscale, as the menu prices would suggest, they need to step up their game. UPDATE: My friend and I each sent an email to the manager through their website as of 6/18, neither of us have received an email back.
Good food and great beer selection. This is a new place where Capones was formerly located. It has a very nice atmosphere. I have eaten here twice for lunch and found the food and service to be excellent. The grilled pork tenderloin is one of the best I have had in town. The beer menu has about 200 options – mostly bottled but some taps as well.
