10/10 would eat here again! Absolutely delicious food, good service, (all relative to time of day) but still quick to seat and feed! No matter what you order, its great! From sushi, to table, to hibachi everything on the menu was perfect!
Who would have thought you could get great sushi in Cedar Rapids? Certainly not me. What a great surprise this was! Great roll and super fresh maguro! Coming back every tom I visit the big Cedar!

Great Sushi. This is my favorite CR spot for sushi. I also like their bento box options. The staff is very friendly and they do not seem to have much turn over – which is a good sign. The manager always goes out of his way to come greet us which makes you feel welcomed. They have a happy hour from 4-6 that is a good deal on drinks.
Disappointing. We did not enjoy our meal at Oyama. The prices were reasonable but the food was disappointing.The spicy tuna roll was just good. The Boston roll and the Alaska roll were fairly poor. Our meal came with a Miso soup that was only fair and a salad that was inedible. I had heard good reviews and I was very disappointed. I have had better sushi at several other restuarants in Cedar Rapids/Iowa City.
Decent lunch spot. I like this place for lunch… quite suitable for a business lunch. Service is fast and accurate. They have good sushi and other dishes. I typically have the chicken teriyaki bento box. Ingredients are fresh and prepared well. I have not tried them for dinner but I’ve seen people at the hibachi tables for lunch, so it appears popular.
Excellent Sushi, great service for lunch. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Iowa!
