The place itself is really cool to go into and is pleasing to the eyes. But the food was poor twice, my pasta was barely warm and had little taste and little sauce. I just don’t think I will go back at the cost and the poor food. The people I was with also said there food was not good.
Nice place. I went there last night with a large group from work. Overall the experience was good. They’ve done a nice job with the building interior; preserving the character/history. If you like architecture you need to go once. This is a Louis Sullivan designed building.Food was quite good. I had the veal. Very tasty, tender. Presentation was excellent.Service was spot on. We’ll be back.
Seared tuna and single malt Scotch. I went to Popoli yesterday evening and it was fantastic. I had the stuffed peppers to start, followed by seared tuna. I asked for the the tuna to be rare with a heavy sear, and it came out perfectly. The chef was great, the server was great (had a good knowledge of single malts). The bread that comes out with salad is similar to Zin’s bread but actually a little better.For dessert we had the creme brulee and the shell was the best I’ve ever had.You will go to Popoli, and you will enjoy it.
