Our appetizer took over 30 mins to get to our table and there were a total of 7 people ordering food. Whether you order an appetizer or not they definitely cook one table (person’s) food at a time depending on the order it was taken. I have had better pickle spears for sure. They were edible. The horseshoe was ok. Would not recommend this place unless you are ok with waiting almost an hour, on a slow night, for less than average food.
Quite good food for a saloon in Cedar Rapids. Very good burgers-juicy and flavorful (without being medium rare)and they don’t skimp on the toppings and special sauces. Do try the jalapeo ketchup on table with your fries. Their chili dog is terrific. They also have broasted chicken and a large sandwich selection which I have yet to try, but they sound well crafted. The waitstaff is friendly, but both times I’ve visited the food took a short time longer then I expected. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend taking a large group here. The food has always been worth the wait.
