The Rack of Pork is UNbelievable!!28 Aug, 2013The rack of Pork is believable!!
Regular. I eat here fairly often. It’s one of the only places to get a veal picatta in Cedar Rapids. The bar area has great atmosphere. The staff are regulars and do a great job. Good place for a business dinner.
They do a nice job, generous portions, good service.
Vino’s is one of my all time favorite restaurants to go to in cedar rapids. From my university graduation to all of my anniversaries and special dates with my boyfriend, this is an outstanding place to eat and enjoy. The servers are extremely personable and remember the people that frequent the establishment. I like the diavolo with sausage, chicken and seafood whereas my boyfriend swears by the penne a la vodka. Complete with a nice serving of greens and bread, vino’s is a joy for anyone. So pop open a bottle of wine and if drinking is on the itinerary, the shots are mixed with fresh juices! Greatest Italian in the Midwest!
Favorite!. This is my favorite place in town. Love starting off at RG Books before a delicious dinner at Vino’s. Keep up the good work!
Classic Italian. You walk in this place with its dark bar, checkered tableclothes and classic blues playing the background (Howlin’ Wolf’s rendition of Moaming at Midnight) and you’d swear you’d see Frank or if you visit one of the bar’s dark corners you could find someone that could whack your deadbeat brother-in-law who owes you money. I started with a glass of La Ginestera Chianti which was good, but a little tame for my tastes. After a generous dinner salad, I was off to the Chicken Napoli, chicken wrapped in my favorite, Proscuitto and layer on a bed if linguini, all of which was topped with a dark reduction. Quite good, with enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Dessert was chocolate pecan pie a la mode, which was okay, but not outstanding. I ate in the bar at a small table and the bartender was attentive and quite knowledgeable about the small, but good, wine list. All in all, my best meal yet in Cedar Rapids.
The Best. I’ve been to Vino’s numerous times and as a vegetarian, i’ve nearly always ordered items that are not on the menu and let the chef create whatever vegetarian dish he thinks would wow me. He has never failed to do so.
