GREAT Mexican. Nice patio. Good service & excellent drink specials. We would drive the two hours from our home just to visit this restaurant and make a night of it.
My Favorite Mexican Place. When I visit Casa Azual I’m met really with a friendly and courteous staff. The place is maybe one of the best keep secrets in the Coralville/ Iowa city. With a vast and terrific menu I’ve enjoyed everything I have tasted. It was quick and had natural fresh ingredients. The prices are reasonable and the portions were above expectations. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in the area!
Great spot, terrific service. Casa Azul is – I think – the third Mexican restaurant to occupy this space on First Ave going into Coralville, and is by far the best. Taco Tuesdays are a regular favorite, but if you get the chance try their steak fajitas. When I mentioned how fantastic the dish was, the top guy (owner?) told me he buys only USDA Choice for that dish, the only restaurant in town to do so. Can definitely tell the difference!
Finally, a good Mexican spot.. There is finally a great mexican restaurant in Coralville. This place is authentic and tasty. The service is attentive and friendly and the food is very affordable and there are tons of options. They have only been open a few weeks and my wife and I have eaten here at least a half a dozen times. Going again tonight to try the shrimp and crap enchiladas. So far, the beef chimichanga is the best chimichanga I have had outside of Atlanta. The beef fajitas were under $10 and I had enough left over for breakfast burritos the next day. You HAVE to try the Queso Fundido for an appetizer.
