Nice view from the bar… Accommodating service and decent steak for the price considering salad and great bread.
Horrible – this place has gone downhill. My husband and I ate here on Mother’s Day evening. We didn’t have a reservation. We asked for a table for 2 with a view of the water. We were told no, all those tables were reserved. Ok, no problem. We ordered. Very slow service. Not busy. Margarita was ok, nothing great. Prime rib was very chewy. My husbands steak was horrible, very tough and he couldn’t eat it. The whole time we had an appetizer and ate, the 10 plus tables on the water remained EMTPY. So, the food was bad, the service was slow, the attitudes of the staff was poor. I grew up in Coralville, this used to be the great place. Even 2 years ago we were with a party of 20 and it was good ….. but we will never go back, never. We will drive to the Amana’s or better yet buy some good Iowa beef and grill ourselves. Very disappointed.
Over priced, but nice view. Service was good, but entree’s were over priced by about $4-5 in my opinion.
Great place. My family was traveling I80 to Omaha last week and decided to take a stop at this restaurant we had read nice remarks about on the web. We were not disappointed. Our dinner was delightful. Our server was very attentive and included a little bit of history of the restaurant. The river view was incredible. The meal price wise was about what we expected. Our family will stop there whenever we are through the area.
Fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Iowa River Power Company last week. I had their prime rib and my wife had the steak oscar. I can’t tell you when I had such a great time and an incredible meal. Our server also took the time to write happy anniversary in our desserts. We will be back…… Often.
Sunday Brunch. My husband and I brought our sons here for the first time yesterday for Sunday brunch. They offer a good variety of different foods and everything was pretty good. I had a little bit of everything. I tried the waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, a cinnamon roll, and fresh fruit. I also tried a little of the caesar salad with grilled chicken. The food was good and the service wasn’t too bad either. My husband and sons also tried a little bit of everything and they also enjoyed their meals, my sons cleaned their plates and even went back for seconds. They have a good variety for brunch so it is easy to find something that will satisfy you.
