An off night. We like to sit in the bar area which consistently has poor service. Tonight, was no different. The Caesar salad was horribly dry, very little dressing. The sirloin was horribly chewy, not a good piece if meat. Skip the loaded bake potato which had a smear of sour cream and sprinkled with cheese and bacon bits. My husband had the flat iron and enjoyed it very much. He also liked the seasonal mushroom risotto. We both had a cup of the shrimp and lobster chowder which is always a good choice.

Great Steak!. I had dinner here Thursday evening, and it was great. I got my usual ribeye with a baker and potato soup. Not a scrap was left; the steak was perfect and tender. I got some ice cream to finish, yummy.Service was outstanding. My check was $30.56. Consistently good experience. billhensley.wordpress.com

Mother’s Day Dinner. We came to Longhorn with extended family to celebrate Mother’s day. I am sorry to say, that this is the first time I have come to Longhorn and came away disappointed. My husband and I ordered the flatiron steak. What came to us did not look like a flat iron steak and both of us got very small steaks. My husbands was actually smaller than mine. We mentioned it to the waitress and she had the manager come over. He did offer to give us different steaks and admitted(the waitress admitted as well)that they were small. We did not want to wait for different ones as we had 8 other people at the table. I felt(even though it was not my reason for complaining)that the manager should have offered either a percent off of our bill or a voucher of some sort for our next visit. We have been to Longhorn numerous times and have always had a great dining experience. I will not say we won’t be back, but it may be a little further down on our list of choices the next time.

Staff Training. I have been to the Longhorn in CB twice. The first time I thought the food was excellent. I had a small order of a special which was a small sirloin and a skewer of grilled shrimp. The waitress charged me for a large order. I had paid with a gift card and it took the manager and waitress a while to figure out how to compensate the refund to me. The second time. The waiter was very upbeat in attitude but not very attentive to details. I ordered the ranch dressing on the side. He brought it to me the first time on the salad. The second time, he brought me blue cheese instead of the ranch I ordered. Dinner arrived before I had eaten 1/4 of my salad. I like to finish it before the meal. My dinner came out with a side of asparagus instead of the baked potato I ordered. I had the small order of prime rib. It did not look like a cut of fresh prime rib. Rather like it had been soaking in both. A ugly grey brown color. It was tender and I ate the meal. But, I will not go back. First and foremost, and looking at other reviews, I would say wait help training is lacking. I gave my waiter a full 15% tip because I blame management for not teaching skills to the wait staff.

Outstanding. Longhorn Steak House Council Bluffs, IowaEverything was outstanding, food, service. We had 10 people for 91 Birthday and 65th Anv. Longhorn staff made the lunch very special. They gave us 2 free dessert…that were outstanding. The manger came over to wish them happy birthday and 65th anv. I have never been disappoint for lunch or dinner.
