Good. I ate at African Cuisine Restaurant, the restaurant itself wasnt that appealing but the food was decent for a different cuisine besides American. I myself didnt like too much of it besides the basic chicken and stuff, but my dad who has more cultural taste buds liked the food very much. The location was easy to get to but hard to find because it was in a strip mall type area. It was about 15 minutes from our house though because we took the interstate. The people there were very nice and down to earth and were very familiar with the menu and helped us pick our food. I got the chicken because Im not very adventurous but my dad got the Chipati which is a fried flat bread and I liked that very much. My overall reaction was I didnt really like the strange food and atmosphere but I appreciated the experience to try something new. I would not do this again because even though it was a good experience, it was a one-time thing and Id hate to take people there and have them not like any of the food. There really wasnt very many options. Id recommend this restaurant to people either with adventurous taste buds who are used to other things besides American food or to people who want a new experience. The decoration wasnt to good but the few pictures and things they had were very interesting, like the seating was cafeteria style and wasnt really as professional but it was more fun sitting that way anyway. It didnt really remind me of stuff we did in class but Zandras desert did remind me of the basic taste of the food here. The other was simply the foreignness of the food. I felt like we were so different from Africa and the food there is a perfect example of how distant we are from their culture like that one guy in hotel Rwanda said when he said they will look at it on the news and say thats terrible and then keep on eating their dinner. Its just because we dont know what they have gone through because we werent their but I feel like eating at this place helped me connect a little more to what their culture may be like.

Great food. The place is incredibly uninviting and the decor was lacking. Everyone seemed a little baffled we were there. But the food was fantastic and everyone was really nice. What a great surprise.

The owner of the restaurant is very nice, it was my first time at this establishment so I didn’t know what to get. He strongly encouraged me to try his fried rice and it was very good! I will definitely be back to try more!

Looks scary on the outside but the food is fantastic. Worth the trip!

Wonderful Experiance. I went to this restaurant one and I thought that it was great. The owners are actually from Africa so you get the feeling that you have gone of a quick trip overseas. They were also very helpful in choosing what to eat so that you really knew what you were getting. Very friendly also. I would defiantly go back and send my friends there.
