I love every chance I get to eat at Bubba’s! I have a few favorites there so sometimes it’s hard for me to try something new, but when I do I’m always left in awe of how tasty the food is. I’ve tried the port rib eyes, fried chicken, chicken and waffles, bacon wrapped medallions, chicken fried steak, and steak rib eye. I’ve never been disappointed with my choices. And whenever I go I get a Stoned Fruit Old Fashioned…so good!

As a Southern girl living in Iowa, I was super excited to try this place. Sadly, it misses the mark. Food is okay, but not a good representation of what I feel constitutes Southern food. It’s a big variety of cuisine from different parts of the South– some are done right, some are not. Decor is upscale but somewhat stereotypical – definitely not what upscale restaurants are looking like in the New Orleans area. The cocktails are Bubba’s best asset. Not sure this is enough to carry a restaurant. In my opinion, improve the quality of food, add white tablecloths and put your servers in dress clothes. Then you’ve got my attention.
I was not impressed. I ordered the fried green tomatoes to start. They were sliced so thin, they tasted like fried green rubber bands. I didn’t stay for more. Why if they get the simple dishes wrong. It is a beautiful bar and the other guests seemed happy
