  Excellent from start to finish. We were just driving around looking for someplace for dinner when we spotted Buzzard Billys. We are not from these parts so we basically stopped because the name sounded interesting. The place became even more interesting when I saw the alligator head at the hostess place, an unusual sight even for a Floridian like me. Turns out Billys has a New Orleans flair.My friend selected a combo dish that had a variety of Cajun items so I went with a chicken dish that just sounded very good. It truly was. It was called Chicken Tchoupitoulas, a large piece of grilled chicken atop a bed of potatoes with ham and mushroom slices. Barnaise sauce poured on top added moisture and flavor. It was a large portion and it was excellent from the first bite to the last.Service was also excellent. Suggestions were offered when we asked, it only took about 10 minutes after ordering to receive our food, our server checked back aa few times to make sure all was well, and when it came time to leave the check arrived and payment taken without much delay. All this while the place was full, and it was just shortly after 5 on a Monday. I was very impressed.

  Great food and staff…. Stopped in for lunch yesterday for the first time in a while as it’s easy to forget about this place being over there. Our server Stephanie was very attentive and the food was enjoyable. Not a lot on the menu for the carb conscious, but definitely a good meal when you’re looking to treat yourself. Good view of the Iowa game that was on as well. Definitely will make a point of getting back there soon!
