El Aguila Real Mexican would be extremely difficult to beat. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is helpful and the price is unbelievably affordable. Think of it as, Carlos O’Kelly’s but cheaper and with much better food. Check this place out. You won’t regret it.
I LOVE this place. This cute little Mexican restaurant in Beaverdale is nothing fancy, but they do what they do exceptionally well. Prices are very reasonable, food comes out so fast you won’t believe it (literally 5-8 minutes most of the time for large orders of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chile rellenos, tamales, rice, beans, etc.). I like the salsa a lot; good level of spice. Good guacamole too. Both seem to have been made in a food processor and have a super smooth consistency, so if you want chunky guac or salsa this is not your place. The margaritas are pretty standard, but are very reasonably priced. I recommend the Jumbo-Rita with a Coronita perched on the side of the glass. The food comes out hot, tasty (albeit greasy) and is also really cheap. If you split some of the larger plates, you could feed a family of four here for 20 bucks and have substantial leftovers at the end of the meal.
I miss the cheese dip!. I love the food here! i moved to southern cali and i have yet to find a mexican restaurant that has cheese dip. it does not exist over here! i am visiting des moines next month i think I’m going to eat there every day I’m visiting! rip diet c:
When we first arrived, we were a tad sceptic, it being located in the lower level of a sketchy looking strip mall. However, the interior is super cute and the food is affordable, authentic and DELICIOUS.
The best food. It’s a place we absolutely love to go as a family. Very friendly staff and fast service. The prices are very reasonable.
Outstanding!. Couldn’t eat meat on Fri during Lent so ordered grilled shrimp with mushrooms, onions, cheese, over rice. Excellent, and too much to finish. Margaritas are potent! Salsa could be improved but adequate. Will go back soon.
Loved the food..will definitely come again..service a little lame..but overall the food makes it worthwhile..:)
