Never had a bad gusto pizza. The soup is delicious too. The Mona Lisa is the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth.
Pizza. The Duke
Gusto pie is a must try. Gusto serves up unique inventive pies that hit the mark just about everytime. the price is fair and the pizza is delicious. if you are tired of the same old same old pies around town then gusto is for you. I personally recommend the #24, the duke or the saltimbocca ( request extra sauce on this one). but all the pies are good no matter what you order. it’s nice to be able to try something new and different and not have to worry about it not tasting good. by the way don’t listen to Ryan the guy palet of a billy goat.
24 is the best pizza in town…corn and brisket on a pizza? It works…
Going for the Gusto Again and Again. I live near Gusto Pizza Co. so it’s easy for me to make it in there for a quick pie or a great meal with friends. It wouldn’t matter if I lived in Madrid however because I would still be at this place once or twice a week. Just incredible. The menu changes with the seasons and no matter what you’re wearing when you leave home, you’re going to get a great pizza at Gusto. They’ve got a great selection of craft beers at a great price, a rockin patio and some of the friendliest staff members I’ve ever encountered. Whenever I eat there I’m greeted with a smile by Jennifer and when I ask about the special or an ingredient, Chaz is there to share his knowledge with me. This place is an excellent destination for Des Moines diners, out-of-towners, or even people from Madrid.
Not good. The Aphrodite pizza has so much garlic it is unsavory. And i love garlic, but it was so pungent I couldn’t taste anything else.
We made our own – garlic, fresh basil, prosciutto, and provolone. We also ordered a pepperoni just to be safe. The first one was so good! The crust is nice and thin and not greasy at all! The pepperoni was probably the best pepperoni I’d ever had. I highly recommend this place!
