Loved the Caterpillar Roll very whimsical and so so yummy. Very fresh. Great locations. Has a happy hour. Felt very relaxed. Lots of choices for the first timer to the risk taker.
Extremely disappointed. Went there many times, but now will discontinue to go there. There are other and better sushi places in Des Moines that I know can keep up with demand and strive in great service. Hoshi Sushi has fallen in both! The service is atrocious and had to wait a hour sitting at our table to get served our water. The waiter that finally did notice us was rude, depressing, and he dressed unprofessionally. We had to wait an additional hour and a half for our food and the waiter ingored us until the waitress felt bad and took over. I understand they were busy, but proper time management and efficient employees would quickly resolve that situation.

Our waiter completely ignored us and we had to go up to the sushi counter to turn in our order. When we complained the manager didn’t care. Before we left our waiter started to harass us and try to make excuses for why he sucked. If you go here you will regret it!
