Currently still waiting for my box and check to come. This is the worst service, my waiter never checked on me once. The entrees were prepared wrong and a bar tender had to come and ask if they could help. The new building is awkward and poorly lit. This was completely unimpressive.

Place smelled like sewage, service was slow and the food well it was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I turned people away from the resturaunt as I left. I wouldn’t recommend this resturaunt to anyone.

LA HACIENDA ON INGERSOLL. FRIDAY 4/6/12 at 2:00 p.m. Service was terrible. we were the only ones in the place. waiter was more interested in watching the flat t.v. than taking our order. He said I’ll give you a minute and came back 8 minutes later – I timed him. He was watching the T.V. The spicy chicken was NOT SPICY – i think the little bit of pepper they had in the chimichanga was a mild poblano. Whoever put it in the paper must have been intoxicated. will not go back.

Best we’ve found yet in the area. Tasty salsa: tomatoey and spiced nice. Good service, clean, and our meals were excellent: appreciated that the rice was not sticky, as I’ve found in too many Mex restaurants in Des Moines. Great fresh guac when we were there. Recommend for casual low-cost Mex!

The food is good, but not the best in town. It fills the void when you cannot drive out to best places.
