Bad experience. The food is like any other mexican restaurant in des moines, nothing special, just average. i asked for salsa and they brought me as requested a tiny plate with salsa and charged me $2.50 for it which is ridiculous. is like being charged for a glass of tap water. will not return. was my 1st time
Good Food. It is easily overlooked place. The decor is a bit worn (not a good place for a first date), but the food is great. Go when you want something tasty and not trying to impress.

Mas o menos at best. Tried the tacos and tamale. The food came out within three or four minutes. No way it was cooked fresh. Of course I would expect the tamale to have been cooked earlier that day or even the day before but to reheat chorizo carne asada and pastor, C’mon. Should have left then. We didn’t get any service after our food was delivered. Had to get the ticket up front.
Lovely and authentic tacos.28 Dec, 2012My first visit. The authentic steak tacos were excellent. My date had the chicken fajita quesadilla and enjoyed it as well. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Cold Corona to boot.
A hidden gem in Des Moines. Don’t let the location turn you away. My new favorite Mexican place in town.
