I ordered the seafood nachos thinking that it would follow the description but there were only four shrimp on the whole thing. I counted. No other seafood on it. The guacamole is super good and the salsa is pretty good. Everyone at my table was pretty unsatisfied. Atmosphere is super cool tho.

I could not recommend the brunch anymore. Amazing and lots of food for the price. Staff was so attentive and friendly, it’s enough to keep me coming back. Love it!

Great Patio, Great Food. I love the patio at Malo. It is huge and feels very hip and urban. It’s a great place to go later on a Saturday night after a show for a late dinner. Service is usually pretty good although we had one visit where there just weren’t enough servers on the patio, and a large party taking most of our server’s time, so that night it wasn’t great. The food is really good, especially the tacos. They have a really good selection of craft beers, including local beers. The molten chocolate lava cake is incredible. I really like Malo and we’ll continue to go there on a regular basis.

We went on a Sunday night and it wasn’t too busy or loud. We enjoyed the drunken nachos, the small size was plenty and great price. Good tacos and chicken enchiladas too.

Pretty mediocre. We went during restaurant week, and this place was packed. The good: Location and atmosphere were good. The chips were tasty and fresh. We tried the pupusas for an appetizer, these were flavorful. I ordered the black bean burger and fries – the burger was decent, it needed ranch for some flavor. My husband ordered a chili relleno taco, and he enjoyed it. We also ordered the churros with raspberry sauce for dessert, these were good! You get a lot of food for your money, and it’s nice that they label gluten free and vegan options. The bad: This place was LOUD – our waitress was losing her voice because she had to yell over all the noise. The salsa that went with the chips and tasted like Chef Boyardee Ravioli sauce. I ordered a lime margarita (they gave me the $5 one because I didn’t specify) – it tasted pretty watered down. The fries that went with the burger were burnt and greasy. The fish taco would have been better if it didn’t have so much sauce on it.

I eat at Malo very close to it’s opening. Because of its theme of Cuban food I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It was very plain with nothing special in flavor or sauces. My friends said the fish tacos were good but that’s it. We also ordered a beer that wasn’t good and quickly ordered another one. They charged us for both. I may go back but not for awhile.

Great patio. Service was good but food was average at best.
