One of my favorite DM restaurants. My dad lives on the South side, and we go to Riccellis frequently. It is a great family-owned place, and we always have a great time, and enjoy a lovely evening of good food together. Yes, its a little different, but that is part of the experience. :-)I highly recommend this place. The food is good, service is fine, and its fun to watch the staff interact (there are some real characters here). Give this place a try. You wont regret it!
Old school dining. This is the kind of place where your grandparents went for a nice dinner and from looking at most of the guest that’s who is still coming there. Its a time travel back to the 1960’s. Its family run so its by their rules and things are different there. Maybe not the highest end of Italian dinning but its a fair price for what you get. This isn’t a place for people in a hurry or trying to impress a date but it is an interesting experience. Why is the spaghetti sauce and salad dressing different? Because it’s home made, using family recipes.
Been a while. It’s been a while, but the last time I ate here it seemed like everything was microwaved. Most of the people I was with didn’t really eat all that much because it was mush or tasted like leather. The staff was nice and the service was good, but the food I would give 2 1/2 stars out of 5.
We were delightfully surprised that we had a relatively good dining experience. In the past, we have had some bad service from this establishment. However, our group requested a specific server tonight. She did a good job. Although we waited longer than average for our drink refills, the experience was (overall) good. As usual, we were served a giant heaping pile of onion rings. The beef vegetable soup was delicious (tiny portion though). Our order of pasta came with a salad drenched with dressing. Tonight’s experience was definitely much better than we have experienced in the past. I still wish the soda refills were free. And I wish they would update the decor. I honestly believe if the restaurant updated its decor and furniture, it could attract so many new diners.
Gross Everything!!!. I would never go to this place again. I asked for bread when we were served soup. I was told that for the past 45 years they have served bread with salad course only. I told the man I have never been here before and since I am 33 I dont really care what he has done the past 45 years I would like some bread. He brought the bread with the salad. The sauce on the side of pasta they served was gross, only took a bite of the canned sauce and didn’t eat any more, nor did anyone with us. The soda is served from the BAR area, so you are charged for every refill. Guess that was the way they did it 45 years ago? This place is way behind the times. OLD tables and chairs. OLD carpet, old ways. The food was not good, I will just leave it at that. Don’t waste your hard earned money on a place like this. There has to be better Italian eateries than this in DM. I live in Vegas, so I am used to clean modern places to eat. This place is dark and dreary. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Never again, NEVER.
Good Old Italian. This is a good old time family Italian restaurant. The food is good with plenty to eat. Warm bread, salad, soup and then the main entre. It is very reasonably prices for what you get.
