Best specialty pizza. When you eat in the Century Drive location, the best BLT and Taco pizza ever. Delivery is great too, but pizza’s with lettuce do not hold up well in a box for even a few minutes let alone 10-15 for delivery. We are welcomed with great service everytime and get personally recognized by ownership on a first name basis after years of loyalty. My wife loves the spaghetti pizza and I’m a sucker for BLT. Highly recommend
Bomb Supremecy. Happy Joe’s is the best pizza in Dubuque. If you don’t like it there is something wrong with you, or you need to try a different pizza. They have a nice selection of specialty pizzas which I would recommend choosing from. Some of my favorites are, Nacho Supreme, Meatworks with BBQ Sauce instead of pizza sauce, BLT, or Spaghetti pizza. The pizzas here are a little expensive, but if your ballin’ like me it’s not bad. I once had a stack of Happy Joe’s pizza boxes that was about 5-6 feet tall. HJ’s for LIFE
OVER-RATERD. Don’t get me wrong, every once in a while, it is not bad, but too often their pizza is awful. it is almost $25 for a large pie. I Don’t like eating there because the environment is way too noisy, so i order delivery. whenever you call in, the person who answers the phone is cold and unfriendly and you always get placed on hold, no matter the time of day. the one thing i do like, is the vast selection of toppings. i give Happy Joes a C+ rating. not worthy of the top 25 though.
Always hit this Happy Joe’s when in Dubuque. My grandparent’s have lived in Dubuque for over 80 years, and stopping at the Kennedy Mall Happy Joes is a must for my family whenever we are in town. They have the best pizza, from BLT, Taco, to the new spicy chicken – never been disappointed in 30 years. Yes its a little more than other pizza joints (and i wish the sodas had free refills), but you wont find pizza this good or unique anywhere else. If you want to sample cheap, or cant get your group to decide -get the lunch special: any pizza and a soda for $5.
Best Pizza in Town. Happy Joe’s Taco Pizza is the best. A bit pricey – but if you want taco pizza – it’s worth it! Dining in the restaurant is noisy – so I prefer delivery!
Way too pricey. I will say this pizza is good (espcially the nacho). I don’t care to eat at the restaurant, as the atmosphere is very loud. That is to be expected as it is geared towards children. The biggest issue is the price – crazy expensive. It’s good, just not that good.
