Great food, great show, and reasonable prices. Eat here!
Entertaining. A family group of 12 sat at the hibachi grill for a Friday night dinner. We had 2 elementary kids with us. The cook made the meal entertaining. The food was good. All in all the cost was about $26.00 ave per person including some appetizers, drinks and tip. It is less expensive to eat in the non hibachi grill dining area. Our selections included sushi appetizers, chicken, steak, salmon, shrimp and scallops. There were no complaints about the food other than the clear soup. Which is just as stated a cup of broth with a couple of slices of mushrooms and a slice of onion or two. I would go again.
Take-out. I just ordered take-out from there and absolutely LOVED it! The prices are fair for individual sushi rolls, it was ready in 15 minutes, and just delicious. Definite recommendation. Another plus is that they have their own website with a menu and it’s set up very professionally. Again, go- I haven’t eaten at the actual restaurant but have had the food and am really excited to go!
Very disappointed. Checked before we went to make sure they had a gluten free menu. When we went to order the waitress had no idea what gluten free was. We had to ask her to go ask the cook if they had a gluten free menu. After a while she came back and said that they couldnt cook gluten free. So we said we would finish our drinks and then have to leave.The waitress asked us to go the bar because they had reservation. When we went to go to the bar there ws no seating also nobody waiting to be seated where we were at. So we had to stand in the doorway to finish our drinks. The seats we were at were still empty when we left.
So EXCITED!!!. We went the first time even before the grand opening when they were still ironing things out and it was GREAT!!! We have been to Japanese Steakhouses all over the US and in Holland and Japan. We love them, and this one does not let you down! The food was great and the atmosphere is really clean and inviting. It’s a small place and like another poster mentioned, you don’t expect this quality in Dubuque Iowa, but here it is! Try it! You won’t be disappointed!

Great Sushi. In Dubuque, Iowa I do not expect great sushi. That changes with Ichiban! Extensive Sushi and hibachi menu. Sushi is GREAT. Well executed, interesting item from the menu. If you like good sushi, this is the place to get it.
