Our L. May experience.. Nice atmosphere but noisy! If you want quiet dining it’s hard to find in this part of the world. Americans noisy brash! Shrimp big but no flavor. Shrimp sauce was way too hot and spicy. Brought us room temp water no ice. Ordered a beer, no cold glass, beer not very cold. Price of Food a bit on the high side. 50 dollars for two an easy spend. People next to us just increased in volumn..they’re young..are they deaf too? Salad just came drenched in dressing like a garlic blue cheese yuck. bread just came but can’t taste it because of the awful cheesy bacon spread. What happened to just good butter. Pizza forgettable…air conditioning non existent. I can’t go on the noise in here..awful. I’d save your money..go to burger king.

Great all around. Sunday nite dinner for three. Wonderful service, beautiful space, and very very good food and wine. Some unique touches, like the goat cheese appetizer.
Delicious. We ate there on 10/18. What a delicious meal. One of our party ordered the ‘special’ that evening of sea scallops while the rest of us ordered from the menu. Great food at a reasonable price. The place was packed but our reservation was honored and we were seated within minutes of our early arrival. It was a delightful meal. Definitely worth the visit and we will visit again the next time we’re in Dubuque.
Our meal was delicious! The trout was the best dish I have eaten in a long time offset by a wonderfully spicy chorizo potato. The salad was delightful and the homemade bread with red pepper butter – Yummy. I wish this restaurant was located where I live. Our server Cathy was also terrific. She did not miss with her recommendations or level of attention. Wonderful evening.
Amazing!!!!. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Top notch service and excellent food. The wine is unique and affordable, the drinks are fun and creative, the beer selection is fantastic and I have been so impressed with the owners of this restaurant.
Wonderful Food & Atmosphere!. Dinner at L.May is a must, when in Dubuque. The food, wine & service is second to none!
