Great for lunch downtown – fast!. Really good guacamole, tasty enchiladas, and great chorizo con huevos. Pleasant, fast waitstaff.
I have been to salsas dozens of times. Honestly, I went back for convenience. It was close to my college. Yeah they have decent margaritas and good chips and salsa but, their food is bland and sometimes even gross. I always was sure to have a drink in me to be able to eat their food. The owner is rude and full of himself. I have seen this more than once. Also, wait staff is unreliable. The owner and servers also can become violent to customers, once even hospitalizing a young man. I will never return to this restaurant, not just because of their bland food, but their actions.

Love it. I eat there all the time! The best Mexican food in Dubuque! Friendly service, the waitstaff always has a smile on their face! Can’t wait to get back there again!
Awesome food and service. We usually go to Salsa’s at least once per week. Besides being located in historic downtown Dubuque, the food is amazing. Some of my favorites include their fajitas, Chicken Popeye, Tilapia and the Chile Verde. The Margaritas are awesome! The staff are always pleasant and quick to get refills on drinks and chips. Great experience every time- highly recommend.
Horrible experience. My wife and I went here for the first time to try a new mexican restuarant other than our norm. We are always looking for good local food but unfortunately we got more than we bargained for. My wife ordered the steak fajitas except the steak was more, dry, fatty and chewy than we are a customed to when eating out. It almost seemed to me that the steak probably was just left over scraps. I unfortunately ordered a fish entree and once again not happy. Almost once the plate arrived I could smell the fish ordor and took a small bite and I about gagged. I asked our server about our food and was told if you don’t like it than don’t come back. Let me tell you I won’t.
