Cozy yet expansive, Vinny’s delivers excellent fare to Dubuque with solid service, replete with Frank Sinatra tunes. Good seafood, decent wine selection.
Overbooked. Made a 7:00 reservation for a recent Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived on time and had to wait for them to find us a table. What is the sense of making a reservation? We were seated and the waiter promptly arrived and asked for our drink order. We asked for a suggestion on a sweet wine, which he in turn said he would go ask the bartender. He brought back a bottle and proceeded to pour me a glass to try. Far from sweet, so we ordered mixed drinks instead. Everything else from the salad, bread, and main entrees were very good. My only other complaint would be maybe the lack of help on a Friday night. A group of approximately 36 people came in and were seated near us and our waiter along with two others were stretched to their limits as they had to take care of them along with their other tables.
Came to town for a three night stay and tried Vijny’s the first night. I had the lasagna and it was terrific. The salad and garlic bread are a terrific compliment to the meal. It was so good we came back a second night and I tried the Vinny’s Special with chicken. It was delicious. We decided to come back a third night and I tried the veal parmigiana. It too was terrific. I also enjoyed the decor inside the restaurant. If I come back to Dubuque I will make sure to come back.
After being very disappointed with food, service and view at Catfish Charlie’s , we loved everything about Vinny Vanucchis!!The food was fabulous, awesome service and the perfect ambience:)We wanted to stay in Dubuque another night to go back and listen to live music downstairs. Vinny Vanucchis made Our visit!
Not worth the price. If the meals were only $10 I would have felt like the food was on par with the price.
