I have to agree with others on the pizza’s here are overpriced and they’re Bland Bland Bland they give you very little toppings and they charge an overrated price. I believe their goal was to have a authentic restaurant that was trapped in the old days with a feel of comfort and hospitality however where they fail is and the thing that is most important the food. I mean I could buy a tombstone Pizza or something of higher quality for a better price and better taste then what they offer and that is bad bad bad. I will never return to this place and that’s a sad thing because it looks great from the outside and I would have liked to have given them a higher rating and higher review however I just simply cannot do that the food was awful.
Blander than bland. Such a disappointment! The crust is a tasteless cracker-type material (more reminiscent of Civil War-era hard tack than pizza crust). The sauce is bland, they are skimpy on the cheese, and an extra topping of a few slivers of green pepper was three bucks. Meh all around. What a racket. If this place was *ever* considered to be good, what a shame that it has devolved to this.
Like the Colonel, they do one thing and do it well, but at PAUL-ee-eyes it’s great pizza, tasty crisp crust and fresh ingredients – no sides, no salads, no apologies. Glad I’ll be coming to this college town for 3 more years.
