A smooth landing. This is a fairly typical college town restaurant/bar, but it has been there since 1944 so they must be doing something right. There was a nice selection of cold beer on a warm spring night. Most of us tried the pizza as it was recommended by a friend. The crust is a little thicker than some, and the toppings were generous and fresh. It turned out to be more filling than expected. We are told it’s the best pizza in Iowa city. One in our group also tried some Ahi tuna which she said was delicious.
The Airliner is a great place to kick back and chow down on some amazing pizza. They also have many other options as well on their menu. Friday night is $1 you call it which is the best deal in town! Staff is great too.
Food is above average. Great atmosphere for the whole family during the day, great night scene after ten. Lots of TV’s to watch games. My husband loves it!
Half price Tuesday. Can’t beat the pizza at half off on Tuesday. Without that, skip it and order some Za from The Wedge.
Pizza!. I love coming here on Sundays, watching football and eating pizza. They offer $1.75 slices all day long. This is such a great deal and the pizza is very tasty. This is a great place to come to get together with your friends and just chill.
Good atmosphere and service, but didn’t care for the pizza. Too much dough and crust for my taste. Cheese ball appetizer is recommended.
Great Pizza. One of my favorite spots. Old Iowa City favorite hangout.Pizza is to die for.
