Sadly disappointing the food was average price average it is a cute place at night time however I doubt I’ll revisit the food just wasn’t that great. The only thing I would recommend about this business is the location other than that nothing great to talk about
I wish I could’ve liked it to, cute place and some pretty good food; but, but our server was very inattentive and my steak was rare and she never check back till we were done. May try again, hopefully better service.
Food&service. By far the best breakfast I have ever had. The coordinator,bus staff were all perfect. Full house and all we’re efficient,courteous and very,very friendly. U of Iowa could become a restaurant/hospitality school. Menu items were creative and DELICIOUS. Our ( 6 ) waitress was just DELICIOUS. Sorry I was not able to see the geniuses in the kitchen. Go-to breakfast!. We LOVE the food here. The service is really good to. We prefer this location over the one in NL which i believe is connected.
Best Restaurant in Town Hands Down. I love the bluebird, I have to admit that I do not like breakfast food – which is a good thing cause the place is always crowded for breakfast on the weekends. But I eat dinner/lunch here probably around three times a month. A lot of things here seem homemade and everything is awesome. The pulled pork is my go-to but their dinner specials have never disappointed me. My friends and I all love the place, theres something for everyone. In my opinion it is the best diner in town!
Breakfast w/ Free WiFi Pretty Good. I went to breakfast today at Bluebird Diner. I chose Bluebird because I wanted to eat breakfast while working and needed free WiFi. Bluebird fit the bill. The experience, service, atmosphere were all good. The cost was about 12 bucks for what I wanted. I would return again to eat breakfast while working.
As diners go, this one is pretty good. I had breakfast here with two friends at the end of our weekend in Iowa City. It’s a smaller place with a few booths, several tables and a counter. Lots of picture windows and mirrors make the place seem bigger than it is. They do a good business and it was crowded with a fairly quick turn over. The service was prompt and friendly, the coffee was rich and hot, and the eggs were done right and served hot. Next time I would ask to have the hashbrowns cooked a little longer, but otherwise I had no complaints. We really liked the atmosphere (and they even have a full bar if you want something stronger than coffee).
