Bread Garden seems to be a great grocery store if you’re looking for high-end items (I don’t shop here often simply because I can find most of my groceries at a lower price elsewhere), but the fun thing about this place are all of the extras here. Are you craving a glass of wine or a nice latte while you shop? They’ve got you covered. Feeling the heat? Grab some homemade ice cream. If you want a meal, they’ve got a really nice buffet. I’ve only had the dinner here so I can’t speak for the breakfast, but I was having a hard time choosing what I wanted because of the great variety! The mac and cheese was okay for me, but I definitely enjoyed the tomato soup, chicken strips, and brussel sprouts I had. I can see myself getting dinner to go whenever I’m not interested in cooking for myself.
Mixed feelings. I go here quite often because it’s one of the only places downtown…they have a good selection but the employees are often unfriendly if not downright rude
Groceries store with more. I don’t actually shop here unless I really have to because things are so darn costly. However they do have a nice selection of wines and other assorted cooked and baked items. The trouble is they can’t decide if they are Pioneer or Trader Joe’s or Hy Vee. This causes a dilemma for them and the shopper. They do have great tea and coffee BUT so does Capanna across the street. Most times I just leave because i am so confused. I should point out that I normally do buy a brownie to ease my pain. MANGIA!
