Hit & miss food, uncomfortable. Kurt’s great and he’s a very effective slow-food advocate. However. The restaurant…I’ve just stopped going altogether. I’ve had good food there, I’ve had terrible food, and the place is always, always uncomfortable. The cutie-pie chairs? NOT COMFY. I’m small and thin and they’re still not comfy. Tables, too close together, esp. for a large & loud clientele. Sunlight’s always smacking you in the eye during the day and frying you (a big south exposure will do that).Best bet is a late lunch midweek, when things are very slow, and you can sit away from the window. And then hope for the best. When the food’s good, it’s really good. But oh man…cream-heavy soups thick enough to serve as dip, meatballs so mushy as to be inedible, some sort of internal kitchen competition to produce the fattiest, richest, least edible tapas…I really think the slow-food theology far surpasses the execution here. And I’m done being uncomfortable physically in restaurants just because of someone’s cute design ideas.

Love the Wednesday Spaghetti Night. This is a great place for when you want to eat and drink for under $20 including tip. Get there for meatballs, pasta and wine. You will be happy, rosy and content with the food. Nothing gives you the sense that you are eating canned food. Thank heavens. MANGIA!08 Mar, 2011The organic coffee was wonderful. The soup fresh. The bison meatball sandwich delicious and the fusili pasta plentiful. Loved the eclectic atmosphere but mainly enjoyed real food from a local place. MANGIA!

How could they call it tapas!!!. It’s expensive, it’s crowded for no reason, whatever they serve are far from what should be called tapas, over hyped and I never will go back

Overrated. Underwhelming. The best part of Devotay is their wine. The portions are tiny the prices are too high for the quality. The food falls in to the realm of meehhhh and the atmosphere feels dirty. It looks like there are filthy crap rags hanging from the ceiling. I’ve been there a few times and each time it s been the same… disappointing.

Disappointed. My wife and I have been several times and find it uninteresting and too funky for our adult taste. One can’t have a private conversation in a restaurant where one is close. The food was, at least the times that we went, not creative. Major disappointment when compared to other local restaurants in the area.I do understand why the college student crowd likes it, but adults want more.

Devotay was a great dining experience. Server was knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. The food was great. Awesome selection of Tapas. Will be back.

Not so good!. Disappointment. Food okay, but not for the price. Don’t think I will go back. I would rather go back next door.
