The sandwiches are amazing (try the pear & Brie press). The soup has never impressed me, but the sandwiches make up for it. Too bad the hours are so limited.
Don’t bother. Service was very slow and it wasn’t even busy. Not a great selection of food. Turkey sandwich was nothing special and soup was cold and flavorless. Not to mention that it was pretty expensive for what you get. People just automatically like things that mention the words ‘local’ or ‘gluten’. Also, don’t get super excited about their ‘home-made cucumber water’. It seriously just taste like you are drinking a cucumber.
Delicious food an friendly atmosphere. A perfect lunch spot!
Good, but . . .. The food is good, with creative and tasty sandwiches. Really sporadic business hours though. Sign says they’re open til 2pm, but they’re closed at 1:30pm. Not open at all on Saturdays anymore. I stopped going there, because it’s really hit or miss on whether they’ll be open.
High quality and affordable. All of their soups are homemade and original. I have been looking for a place that serves good soup and this was a pleasant surprise. You can also get a Panera-style you pick two. They also serve you complimentary cucumber water… tastes (pleasantly) exactly how it sounds. This place is very affordable for the high quality food you receive.
Wonderful local spot. I’ve visited Her Soup Kitchen three times, twice for lunch and once for breakfast. Each time the food has been outstanding, the service friendly and quick, and the menu options terrific. I look forward to returning often.
This is a great little neighborhood place. Very good meatloaf and unusual combinations in sandwiches, like a prosciutto, melon, asparagus press. Nice, inexpensive breakfast choices. It’s a family run place, very congenial and comfortable.
