Cornbread is very good. As a matter of fact….all the menu items are good! The seating isn’t that comfortable but if you are up for fast and delicious BBQ this place is perfect. Parking is free and plentiful and prices are competitive. I give them a B+.
The pulled pork and fries were delicious. The cole slaw decent and the cornbread dry. Did appreciate the service very much. It looks like a good place to take kids.
Pricey?. They over charge for there ribs…. Everybody needs to realize that st.louis ribs cost a restaurant far less than baby back ribs, but yet they still charge for the price of baby backs. ….. Jimmy jack! Times are hard why are you over charging?
Used to be good. This place used to be really good, but unfortunately has gone downhill. I went there tonight and ended up throwing my pulled pork away because it so bad. I don’t know if they just don’t make it fresh everyday, but the pork was grey and smelled funny. The cornbread was really dry too. The fries were good.
Best BBQ. I recently went on a trip to the south with the purpose of finding the best BBQ. I am happy to report that the best BBQ is right here in Iowa City. You always know what you are going to get from this restaurant. Delicious!
Good BBQ. The brisket was very tasty, as was the chopped pork. Sauces were okay, but I enjoyed my meal, and will return.
