Gluten and Canola. I was disappointed in New Pioneer. I travel a lot checking out natural food stores and this store rated poorly. Not much gluten free and almost everything in the deli was saturated with canola oil, one of the worst things you can put in your body. It’s cheap filler so I guess profit is more important than healthy. I got some way too expensive wheat free cake that was the worst I’ve ever had. Gluten free doesn’t have to be bad and in fact some of the best bakery I’ve had has been gluten free. Even me, a poor baker makes far better gluten free cake. Overpriced too. The fresh squeezed orange juice was goodl the employees are nice, and it’s sweet to offer free drinking water to shoppers.

Wholesome Filling Natural Food. I can’t say enough about the food served here. Most of the food is outstanding, sometimes they do miss the mark with the Indian food but they do try and I commend them for that. I agree with what they bring to the table from a community and ethics perspective. I support this store and its other locations wholeheartedly. MANGIA!

Yes!. Great place to eat, great place to shop. Amazing wine selection with wonderful on-site dining. Good vegetarian sandwiches/paninis. Their bakery is wonderful. Eat there as often as I can.

A Little Bit of Everything. I love to buy my groceries here! Not only do they offer everything but they only sell food products that are organic, natural and local. They also have deli and catering and a hot table menu. Their deli sandwiches are great, I’m a big fan of the The Jerk hot sandwich and the Cashew On A Hot Tin Roof. They offer a variety of options from meat lovers to vegan to vegetarian, you are guaranteed to find something that will satisfy you. The food on the Hot Table menu is also wonderful. They have something different everyday, which you are also guaranteed to be satisfied with. The Coop is a great place, whether you are coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner or to buy groceries.

Amazing place to grab lunch. Both stores have a great lunch buffet, especially the Coralville location (also they have a lot of extra seating). Great soups and muffins! And good for you too! It’s a winning combo. Yum Yum Yum.

New pi has great fresh made entrees. Their calzones and pasta salads are light and fresh. They’re a bit pricy but worth the cash once and a while
