This is an excellent NYC-style Chinese take out joint, and exactly like the ones I grew up with, to include the flat/greasy/delicious chow mein noodles in the wax paper bag for your egg drop soup. I was euphoric and nostalgic as I dined. The one thing missing was dark/sweet sauce for Egg Fu Yong that I was used to back in the day. No matter, because it was all guilty pleasure. Special mention goes to their house made dumplings, which were huge and meaty compared to other Chinese-American joints we’ve enjoyed on this continent. Very friendly (albeit very busy) folks running the show. Take out volume is noticeably high, yet they do have a decent sized area for sit down. It’s counter ordering, but their kitchen is open right behind the register, so you may find yourself lingering there a bit longer to watch the wizards of the high BTU wok stations. I miss them already…
