My family and I are here Saturday midday for lunch and it was horrible. The diet Pepsi tasted like dirty water and was horribly flat, all of the food seemed precooked in some way, and our burgers were not cooked to order. Will not be back.

Gone Down Hill. My friend wanted to come here for her birthday this past Tuesday. Definitely wasn’t the same as it use to be when I went to school at Iowa. The bar was dead..Iowa City has really gone down hill since I’ve left.
Okay. My friends and I eat here occasionally. The food is decent and we like to sit on the patio when it’s nice out. I normally get a wrap or calzone, which are good and sometimes I’ll get a salad. Recently, my friends and I ordered the spinach-artichoke dip as an appetizer, which ended up being very runny. I was very disappointed in it and probably won’t order it again.
Disappointed. The tap beer was disappointing as well as the service. Our server did not know anything about the product he was attempting to sell. Dark restaurant. Would have been nice to eat outside. Great location…Maybe a little more attention would do some good.
Surprisingly Good Food. I wouldn’t expect to like eating at a place that is such an obvious bar at night …. but the food is surprisingly good. They have a pretty decent menu and the outdoor seating is nice when the weather permits.I suggest you try the ribeye steak sandwich with truffle aioli.
Slummit at the Summit. Of all the Clinton St.. restaurants, the Summit is the most dependably bad. In fairness, I go there for lunch, but I’ve yet to leave there without feeling taken. It is a great place to go if you like darkness and food that is slow in coming. You could do better.
