Being a frequent flyer, have to comment that Mike’s Saloon continues to impress! Heather makes the best martinis in the midwest and beyond and has a personality that makes everyone feel so welcome. The burgers are to die for and the best we’ve ever had from Alaska to Florida to New York. Also highly recommend the chicken!! If you want to feel like you are going home and want something different from all those ho-hum chains…go to Mike’s!!

We have been going to Mikes for years and have given them the benefit of the doubt because it is a small business. It has a fabulous location and great atmosphere, but HORRIBLE attitude. The manager has become whiney about lack of business which he should keep to himself and his mother is EXTREMELY rude and makes no apologies. We would love to see someone take this place and make it an awesome place to enjoy after dinner drinks, or a good burger. The food is not good enough to ensure the personality in the joint.
Never going again!!!. We have been going the mike’s for years….NOT anymore. hubby and i went there and ordered broasted chicken. waited 20 min, not unusual, but waiter came out and said they burned it so making more, waited another 20 min and we cut into the breasts and they were RAW inside!! YUCK. waiter took it without asking us what we wanted to do and he put it back into the fryer…..with it cut open, with the forks we had already put in our mouths!!! GROSS. chix came back dried up and disgusting. we left it on table. owner never said sorry and took a whole $1.60 off the bill. BAD BAD BAD
Great Place. Thanks for the great evening, great food and prompt service. We had a complicated order and all the food arrived hot and fresh at the same time.
BAD ATTITUDE has NOT CHANGED AT MIKES…. I USED to love going to MIKES for Ribeye steak with my hubby..Quite frequently..Well tonight I am not happy We ordered Ribeye like usual and got shoe leather it was sirloin..SO we asked about it and the Old lady that works there in the front the unsociable one..Comes and treats us like it is our fault we weren’t happy with her food,,She takes my dinner away after 2 bites, ASks if I want another one Well my hubby was almost done..So I said no Thank you.. She didnt apologize for crappy food or anything ..So than we go to pay for what should have been what we ate and she said I HAVE TO CHARGE YOU FOR HALF THE DINNER, I said why? You took it from me..I had NO dinner..So she goes in the back room kitchen and digs my steak out of the dirty dishes and puts it in a box and gives it to me saying there is 10 ozs of a 14 oz steak…OMG>>what the hell kind of business restaurant does this? So we PAID FOR NOTHING..and left the steak shoe leather there…MIkes has gone down hill I will never recommend it or go there again,……
Mike’s Saloon ROCKS. This is the COOLEST PLACE I’ve been to in years… and I’ve been everywhere from Nashville to LA and all points in between. Tucked away on the edge of Sioux City, Iowa – Mike’s Saloon serves over 50 tastey beers and has LIVE MUSIC. It’s a small room with a fireplace and a guy named BYRON KUEHL plays incredible acoustic guitar and croons with the best of them. The food is GREAT and the AMBIENCE is SIMPLY THE BEST AROUND. Stop in -check out BYRON KUEHL – he is the real deal.
