I came here for a weekend getaway with my spouse. I was excited because I never been to a Hard Rock casino. We decided to try the buffet. I was glad to know that there were more than one cuisine than just your all American typical cuisine. Asian, Italian , American BBQ, and some southern American food.We had stood in line at five p.m..Took about ten minutes to finally get seated. The price was 15.00 per person. I find that to be pretty cheap considering it is a buffet located in the casino. The dinner hour became very busy. They ran out of plates. I asked 2 employees for plates and finally five minutes later a employee came out with plates. The whole kitchen staff seemed unprepared for the dinner rush. The food looked old and dried up. The gumbo looked as if someone just vomited in the pan.The pimento cheese was very tasty. Good luck trying to eat it with the bread they provide. You can chip a tooth! I thought it was because the bread was left out all day, but it was later refilled with more bread! They were ROCK hard! The bread was sour dough. The fried rice was literally fried and crunchy. No crab Rangoon! Fried shrimp batter was delicious but it ended up being steamed in the pan. Cajun shrimp was delicious . There was a kitchen employee singing as he was cutting apart the ribs. Singing and teaching customers Ebonics !! I think if this employee put more time and effort into cooking and refreshing all of the food up this place would be GREAT!! So much potential. Sadly, it was all just a mediocre place to eat. I wouldn’t travel to Sioux City from Omaha to grab a bite to eat here. I have better choices in Omaha or even at Council Bluffs casino buffet for that matter! Our server was pleasant and attentive.
